I’m going to talk about this for a minute, because I would normally keep my ranting about fandom wank to twitter, but this is something I feel particularly strongly about and wanted to talk about properly instead of in a string of angry tweets (which I already did but hey ho here we go again.)
Story-telling is something which is quite obviously thousands and thousands of years old. It’s an innate part of human nature, and something as old as language itself. Granted, it’s changed a bit over the centuries, and the way people interact and respond to it has shifted, but the principle is the same.
